Grand Stand Airport
KCRE
This excellent and congestion free facility features a
6000’ x 100’ hard surface runway that will easily handle your C-152
or your G-5, whichever you choose for your trip!
KCRE is located on
V-1 (CRE VOR is on the field) and features an ILS approach as well as VOR, GPS
and even an NDB if you feel the need to punish yourself!
RAMP 66
Years ago, bad weather up the road caused me to divert to KCRE for the night. My judgment to not go further was intuitive; my good luck to discover Grand Strand Airport and this great FBO was fortunate! I ended up investing in several Myrtle Beach properties and now often enjoy the friendly southern charm of Ramp 66!
Upon landing, just follow the ground escort to parking on the expansive ramp. Your rental car will be brought right to the plane and the helpful personnel will assist with your baggage. The modern, clean, and comfortable facility features full flight planning facilities and a wide variety of vending machine snacks and beverages. The friendly ladies at the registration desk will be happy to answer any questions you might have and will get you on your way with a smile on your face! Your resort accommodation is just an easy 10 minute drive!
Ramp 66 is a full service FAA certified repair facility to help with an oil change to major problems. The flight school can help you brush up on those rusty skills or get you current on those minimum approaches! The staff will tie down your aircraft and hangar space is available if you must keep that G-5 undercover (they won’t turn down the C-152 though!).
Yes, it is pretty simple. Carrying an airman certificate is a source of great pride and offers envious opportunities for travel. Put it to good use: fly to a great destination and actually save some money at the same time.

Grand
Strand Airport is open 24/7/365, and the friendly tower personnel will
greet you 7:00am to 9:00pm (PCL when the tower is closed).
